What happened? We stopped in for a few slices before drinks in the Distillery District. The choices of slices were limited so I selected the Margarita since it looked a little less “leftover”. Two slices of cold, tasteless cardboard. I keep asking myself why I think I will ever have superlative pizza in Lexington.

This place has no business calling themselves good fellas.. The pizza is terrible and the staff are complete jerks. Unbelievably bad customer service…

So I’ve been hearing from a few girls at work that Goodfellas had great pizza. I decided I’d try it out with my boyfriend the other night- and it was VERY disappointing. It’s located in a bar which should have told me to stay away but I thought maybe it was a hidden treasure that only the party people knew about. First of all, I didn’t even see any pizza so I had to ask the bartender. It was at the other end of the place, and when we walked over to it, we saw a dimly-lit glass counter with old-looking pizza inside. I figured I’d try it anyway since people said it was good. Well, it was barely warm and there was a layer of shiny grease on top. It had this strange chemical taste to it, too! I thought maybe it was the cheese or sauce, but when I took a bite of just the crust, I could still taste it. The pieces are big like Sbarro’s in the mall but I couldn’t even eat half of mine, it was so bad. My boyfriend didn’t like it much but ate it all anyway and he ended up throwing up the next day! Stopped in for a quick slice while in the area on business. When I got out to my rental car and took a bite, it was lukewarm and had the consistency of cardboard. Pretty disappointing after hearing the good reviews.

The guy with the red beard is a racist. I ordered my pizza and then stood outside the door and waited. These two white girls came in that I actually held the door open for and ordered the same thing that I had already ordered. They did not have anymore pizza already prepared for them so he walks over to the other guy and whispered something in his ear and then proceeded to give them my food. I asked him why you gave them my food and he proceeded with racist disrespectful remarks. I’m in Lexington on a business trip for the first time and this experience has changed my perception of Lexington. I mean I know that in the downtown area is where they whipped slaves but I’m not a slave and will not be treated as such. I’m a website designer and I took pictures of the guy and plan to post them all over the internet once I return home. I plan to let as many people who will listen know about my experience. Flyers have been made and passed out throughout the city as well. This guy needs to be fired. BLACKS SHOULD NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE…..

I was messed up last night, but I was not messed up enough to be treated the way I was without speaking up the next day. The pizza/price/speed/convenience is A1. Why am I giving this a 1 star STILL considering that? The service was~ literally~ the worst service I have ever received. I was disrespected after being nothing but cordial and receptive to the line server. I work in hospitality. I know how to treat people- workers and clients. This experience, to me, was laughable. Jubilance, to them, warranted ignorance and disrespect based on the assumption I may have been intoxicated enough to be treated like a piece of garbage, and not grasp proper hospitality techniques. I love Goodfellas company; I still will, but I will never go to the Mill St Goodfellas again without reconsidering based on this past experience. Please, if you hire someone in hospitality, make sure they are hospitable.

I went to the restaurant to order a pizza. The pizza was cold, management was mean, the restaurant environment was unwelcoming and cold.
